[to be heart broken is to have lost the desire of your heart.
 but we must believe, somehow, he gives even the heartbroken the desires of their hearts.]

this is faith.

[to have faith is believing God’s promises
 when they go against your self interest.]

this is faith.

[to believe that God is really good, and so keeps his promises;
 and to stake your life on his goodness.]

for no matter how many promises God has
made, they are “yes” in Christ.

and so through him the “amen” is spoken
by us to the glory of God.

  5. by the way, i like your artsy saying at the top. next time you want to use something from one of our conversations, though, you have to get permission from me, even if it’s something you said.

  8. Oh, I can see how you got that out of my last post. No. Not Mexican apples. Apples was more of a metaphor. Or an acronym. Or an onomatopoeia. Wham!
