and not only am i a photojournalist,
but i’m leaving for my first overseas assignment in less than 24 hours.

[well, technically, overlotsofland assignment, what with the panama

  1. of COURSE you ARE a photojournalist… but don’t say it like you don’t enjoy it… I mean SERIOUSLY look at all of what it’s done for you since you’ve been one!!
It’s crazy.. but i’ve been having that same realization as of late…
AND IT’S SOOOOOOO amazing that you are getting the opportunity to go to World Changers… let alone overseas… and to Ecuador NOLESS…
and hey, no pressure.. but if you get some amazing stuff that makes it APPEAR to be not from the US then i guess I might be willing to LET you put it up in OUR apartment… (haha)
Just kidding… I’ll be praying for you, and just focus while you are gone… and God will show you what to photograph!!
Love you too, and miss you greatly….
can’t wait for the semester to begin! It’ll be great!

Maybe, just maybe we can be like normal friends who hang out together and go get ice cream and other normal stuff friends do, maybe one day, …maybe….especially since we are seniors, *shudder*, love you and have a blast, but don’t be sick and be safe!!

  5. you might not see this before you are gone. but in case you do, couple of tips while working in south america:
    dont drink the water
the people you meet will be way cooler than most people you already know, dont let it shock you.
    dont drink the water
people is people no matter their circumstances
    dont drink the water

  8. true. not that that would change anything… my alcohol tolerance has gone down hill… to the point I really can’t pysically drink much at all… which is a good thing. I still don’t have anything against it, provided one is of age and does it responsibly… as for me… it’ll be, henceforth, a very occaisional thing for me to partake in… plus the whole contract binding thing that occurs when working for Christian organizations…. hich I don’t really mind at all…
