das wandern

let me continue in peace, and (stop) wander(ing)!

{ today, life washed over me.
i was dragged into the undertow of an ocean of joy.

engulfed by crashing waves of redemption dancing wildly on an ocean–
an ocean of an unutterable, incomprehensible, completely ridiculous kind of joy.

and i was carried away by a torrent of true redemption–
not finished redemption–but true redemption. i’m drowning in life. }

i found redemption today.
or rather, i realized  life today.

for that which is redeemed is alive.
those who are redeemed are alive.

redemption is life–
and we were redeemed to live.

only we forget. we forget to live.
we forget that he died that we might live.
not that we might exist
[inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale],
but that we might live:

that we might run hard over the earth, mud squishing between our toes until we fall down laughing,
gasping for breath and stretching our arms to the sky, wrapping our fists around the joy that is life.

we might feel the tickle of the sunshine as its warm rays paint
freckles on our noses while we lie soaking up the wonder that is today.

that we might dance until we’re dizzy
until we fall giggling into you.

let’s live.
