{merry christmas eve}

today was still icy.
my puddin, david, came over to play on the ice
with me and the sammy jo.
he pulled us behind (my) red truck.
we had fun. i am glad for today.

and for tonight.
tonight is good.
’cause tonight is for fires and pajamas and baking cookies and
hot chocolate and carols and holiday drinks at the neighbor’s
and christmas movies and ’twas the night before christmas
and too much excitement to sleep. and tonight is for remembering.

::edit::
tonight is for prayer.
tonight is for struggling through the notes.
tonight is for [learning to play] jazz.

but tonight is still good.
for He is good.
