i know you see the sparrow

and i know you call your sheep

i know your ways are higher

but tonight won’t let me sleep

cause i watch the sparrow falling

and i’m scared to count the sheep

cause i don’t know who’s with pharaoh

and your mercy’s not that deep

yes i know your mercy chose me

and i’m blessed to hear your voice

but i want to scream injustice

cause i hate that i’m your choice

and i know i’m just the vessel

but i’ll fight against your hands

cause i’d rather shatter on the ground

than hear you call them damned

  2. wow.. that’s so great.  I don’t think I know you, but I get this feeling that we go to the same kind of church.  kinda strange.
because really, it’s not fair.  why me?  and why not this good person, or that great person, or my best friends brother, whose mom (the most godly woman I know) has been praying for his soul for the past 32 years.  and yet… i know nothing except that He knows everything.  and i have to trust that He is good and loving and actively redeeming the world, just as He is and has been redeeming me.

  3. i don’t think i’ve complimented you on your site yet, but it really is great… you’re very creative and open, also very encouraging… i don’t think it’s an accident that encouragement is a product of vulnerability… keep it up!
